Midnight Blue Makeup

I loveeeee this blue! It's not too dark but also not to bright, and it has the perfect amount of shimmer! I covered my lid in the darkest colour and used a slightly lighter shade to blend up above my crease. The white highlight on the inner corners of my eyes really makes the blue POP. I also used the deepest blue on my under eye area to tie the look together. Nude is the best colour lipstick or gloss to pair it with. Hope i gave you some ideas for your next night out :) xx

Egyptian Princess Inspired Eyes

Hellooo, so i'm not sure if any one of you reading this follow me on Instagram @shannoncarlyle, but if you do then you will notice my blog is slightly behind on pictures. A lot of people keep asking me what products I'm using ect.. So I decided it was time to keep on top of things on my blog. I'm in the process of catching up which is why you'll find my posts are more regular.

Moving on to the juicy stuff...
I honestly felt like i was channeling my inner Egyptian princess lol, so many wings going on! I wasn't expecting the green to be as bright and more on the pastel side but i went with it. The colour in the palette looked like a deep turquoise. By the way mind my lips, i woke up and they were mega dry, even vaseline didn't smooth that shiz out!

Lip Switch | Day to Night

Hey girls and guys!! I hope you like the looks i created above. I originally wore the first look during the day. The eyes are very simple and natural looking. I ended up going out in the evening but didn't want to redo all my makeup. Instead, i just changed my lip colour. This dark purple shade adds more drama to your overall look and makes you stand out. This would be great for anyone who has plans straight after work or something, but doesn't have time to redo their makeup. You could even change it to a red lipstick, pretty much any brighter colour will make you look more dressed up. Also that's the good thing about the eyes, they will match any lip colour of your choice :) xx

Khaki Trends: Makeup

Khaki green has been one of the most popular colours for spring, and will for sure be going on through summer. I've seen it everywhere from fashion to nails but i haven't seen much inspo for Khaki makeup. For this look i have used earth tones to pair with the green. The eyes look very neutral so i added a bright brown lipstick to finish it off.

Colourful Rainbow Makeup | Final Jacket

Above is my final jacket that i designed and manufactured for my second year of university. This project was in collaboration with Machine A! My concept was 'fairground' and i had to manipulate this into the Machine A brief. I kept the bright colours to a minimal and decided to influence more of my concept through my styling.

I wanted to create a grunge/sport feel but with a slight Advant Garde twist. This makeup look is great for anyone wanting to relate their look to a colourful concept or even if you just want to be adventurous! It didn't take many products to create this look, only the base and eyeshadows. Hope i inspired some of you :)

Summer Season Makeup

Orange is such a fresh, vibrant colour, ideal for summer time! Highlighting is also a must, to give you that extra glow. This complete look is probably to much for day time depending on how hot it is, but it would be ideal when your off clubbing in Ibiza. To switch this for the day, maybe a pool party ;) i'd go for tinted moisturiser or even bare faced, add a little water proof mascara, pop on the lipstick and your ready to partyyyy....

Glamours Purple Eyes

Do you ever just sit in your mirror and wonder once your ready, what the hell happened? Not in a bad way of course, but when my mega creative side comes out i tend to do looks which i wouldn't wear out of the house. Suppose it's my way of having fun :) I actually wore the look above to a meal with my boyfriend. The colour is only as noticeable when your eyes are closed or if you blink, so it's a great way to show your fun side without looking like a clown. You can always change up the colours to suit your outfit! If you're wearing such bright colours my fav lipstick option is a nude. It allows all the attention to be on the eyes.

Golden Glowing Makeup

Sorry i haven't been posting as frequent, i have been so busy with uni work! Not long left though, i finish my 2nd year in April and then just one more year left! Do any of you go to university? I would love to know about your experience.

Moving on to the reason you're here.... I have recently been suffering from dry/itchy skin on my body and couldn't think what was causing it. I have always used the St Moriz tan and didn't expect it to be the cause. I switched over to the Rimmel London Sun Shimmer Self Tan Mousse and noticed my skins getting back to normal. It's by far the best tan i have used to date!

While i was feeling all golden i wanted to keep my makeup very neutral and glowing. I love creating nude looks because they match everything and they're so easy to transform from day to night. I used 3 different golden shades that were pretty similar and blended them to create an ombre look. I used the lightest shade in on the inner corner and deepened it towards the outer. I highlighted my inner corner with an off white. I also used this shade to highlight my cheekbones, noes and cupids bow. If you ever decide to use an eye shadow to highlight, make sure you apply it light handed. As usual i added a winged liner to complete my look.

Hope this look has inspired you to go transform yourself in to a golden goddess :p

Double Winged Liner & Pink Cut Crease

I'm feeling unusually productive this month, compared to the last few months i seem to be posting a lot more frequent! I've stuck to quite mellow looks recently so thought i would create something more exciting. I new i wanted to use pink but i couldn't for the life of me decide what other colours to go with. In the end i went with pinks sister, purple. If the bright colours weren't enough, i then went a step further and created a double wing in both corners of each eye. I applied white to my water line to make my eyes appear bigger, and used white near my tear ducks as a highlight, but to also tie in the colours.  With such extravagant eyes i used a nude gloss for my lips. Hope you like it, and if you have any specific looks you would like me to create then leave me a comment below. xx

P.S. New camera is why the quality is better :)

Review: MUA Luxe Velvet

Hellooo to my followers and welcome to you newbies. My sister has recently brought a new lip gloss by MUA Luxe London and i loveee the colour. It's one of those which you apply as a gloss and it dries matte. My first impression was really good! The colour is very strong and it didn't take long to dry. I decided to wear a bronze smokey eye with this gloss to keep the look sophisticated.

Unfortunately this isn't a long lasting product. I wore it the night of my sisters birthday meal and after i ate, i went to top it up and noticed that it was peeling off. I expected some would come off after my dinner but the problem was when i applied more. It becomes quite sticky, and peels off what is still remaining on your lips. This caused it to go quite bitty and i had to wipe the whole thing off.

Over all i think it's a good product if you're willing to wipe it all off and redo it every time you need to top up.

Light Nude Cut Crease

Cut crease is perfect to create a dramatic look. On this occasion i have chosen to do a light cut crease.
I have stuck to using nudes and used a light brown for my crease. The good thing about this technique is pretty much any colour would work as long as its nice and pigmented.

This sort of look could match any lip colour, i have chosen a light brown to tie in my colour palette.

Warm Orange

So i have FINALLY got round to creating a new blog post. I'm becoming extremley bored of this cold weather and really can't wait for a bit of sunshine. The makeup look i have created is very warm with oranges and bronzed skin.

This look is false lash free, i personally don't like to upload makeup looks without falsies because I don't feel it gives the same impression. I wanted it to be a wearable day to day look, but with lashes, it can turn into a more glam look. There are of course lashes that are natural looking but i didn't find it very necessary as mine aren't toooo bad. Using the white liner pencil on my water line made my eyes appear larger and look more awake.

Hope you like this look & I promise I will post more often! xx

Half Skeleton | Half Beauty

I knowwwww it's a late post but didn't realise until halloween night I could even do this.
I thought i'd add in the pink eyeshadow to exentuate the feminine half. I left it until the day to decide i was doing this look to go get some face paints, to find they were all sold out!! Luckily my friend had some white face paint so I could get the base but for the rest i had to improvise. I used gel liner and black eye shadows put in the details. I'm quite please with how it came out, and it didn't even take as much of my liner as I expected.

Crease Craze

Helloo Sugarsssss

Soooooo, my everyday makeup consists of neutral colours. I always used to be worried about wearing coloured eye shadows in the day because it can look slightly over the top.
I find sticking to neutral colours, but adding a colourful shadow in the crease of you eyes, adds that little pop without looking drastic.
